What an incremental game is
An incremental game, also called an idle or clicker game, is built so that your production grows faster than you spend. You buy an upgrade, the upgrade earns more than it cost, and you buy the next one.
IGTAP keeps that shape but changes the source. In most incremental games a timer produces the currency. In IGTAP a platforming run does. Your best time sets the payout, and clones repeat that payout in the background.
That single change creates an unusual rule: improving at the game is itself an upgrade. A cleaner run is worth real electricity.
What a precision platformer is
A precision platformer asks for exact inputs rather than exploration. Courses are short, checkpoints are generous, and the game times you on every attempt. Steam tags IGTAP as both a 2D Platformer and a Precision Platformer.
The two genres meet in the middle of the screen. The platforming half sets your best time, and the incremental half turns that time into a permanent income multiplier.
Why the acronym became the normal name
The full title is nineteen words long, so players, stores and video creators all shorten it. Steam’s own review pages, the community subreddit and the speedrun leaderboard use IGTAP alone. The official Discord invite in the launch announcement is named after the acronym too.
The developer, Pepper Tango Games, published it through Gamersky Games on September 21, 2026. It runs on Windows and Linux only.
How to check the full title yourself
Open the store listing and read the page header. The subtitle under the game name repeats the sentence, and the about section says the acronym out loud: “IGTAP is an incremental game that’s also a platformer - it’s in the name!”
Two warnings about searching the acronym. First, Google and Baidu both suggest unrelated medical abbreviations such as SIGTAP and STAP, so add the word “game” or “platformer”. Second, the Chinese store name is 今天都是腿 and the Japanese name is IGTAP: どこ見ても足, so regional searches return different titles for the same game.
